"How Religion is All Knotty - A Short Discourse"
Cookie: For starters, IMHO, Religion has been lying through its holy teeth about getting into Heaven.
*ahem*
I mean think about it, people "will" burn in Hell for killing another person, being racist, or laughing at an autistic kid.
But that's like only nowadays.
4500 years ago, it was fairly courteous to smash through the skull of anyone that touched your stupid raw meal. Nobody cared for autism before, I think, Jim Carrey and Religion happened to endorse and cherish much racist behaviour till like day before yesterday.
Over time the meaning of 'the good life' has been tweaked by our ol' friend Religion.
DIVINE. That's just bloody DIVINE!!
Now we are sending really really good people to Heaven, but our racist, great great great grandfathers who also murdered for fun are already there!
They must totally rag our sorry butts!
And what next? Our children will have to be pacifist - fruitarians who send no SPAM messages, before they make the cut??
They will not last a day in "Heaven!"

Me: I don't get what's so sacred about fucking Tuesdays??? Every other day we can stuff ourselves with all sorts of animal food. But Tuesdays? NOOOOO.
What's the difference to the damn Chicken?

Me: And I mean how did anyone decide which was the first Monday? We could have gotten it wrong by a day? So that all Tuesdays are actually Wednesdays.

well thats if u go by the Christian version of Creation!! Hindu and Muslims...diff calendar and i wonder who was the smart one who matched the somvaar of the Hindu calendar with the Monday of the Christian Calendar!

and yes what you say is true too. who alligned, somvaar and mondays and all of the others..
But u know if we discount those lies ...we wud be facing a giant historic black hole of questions to which we would have no answers. About the origins of mankind, purpose of existence, good and the bad...it wud be a reign of chaos, which im sure The Joker wud enjoy!!
Tell Cookie that perhaps our racist and bigoted ancestors were probably evicted from heaven (assuming there is such a place) once we here on earth (presumably listening to the Word of God) decided such things were no longer okay.
I mean, its always God speaking to someone that causes these changes, right? ;)
were they? itd be unfair though.. i mean nobody told them what the "good life" would mean in 2009. and nobody knows what it will be a hundred years from now.. :)
These conversations with the canine cookie (more like the asinine cookie) on the other realm remind me of this animated movie called "All dogs go to heaven" and as a side note, I think all people go to heaven as well. But that's for another time.
